Ingredients

  • 500g rice cakes

  • 200g fish cakes, sliced

  • 4 cups water

  • 3 tablespoons gochujang

  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili powder)

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 2 green onions, chopped

  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

Step 1


Prepare Broth: In a large pan, add water, gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, and sugar. Bring to a simmer.



Step 2


Add Rice Cakes: Add rice cakes and cook until they are soft and have absorbed the flavors of the broth, about 10 minutes.



Step 3


Add Fish Cakes: Add sliced fish cakes and continue to simmer until everything is thoroughly heated.



Step 4


Garnish and Serve: Add chopped green onions and simmer for another minute. Serve hot, sprinkled with sesame seeds.
